Chapter 213: The Fragment of a Name

Eunseo followed Minjun’s gaze, watching as he stared out the window. Her eyes trailed after his, and she saw the white willow tree on the other side of the river, its branches swaying gently in the breeze. The tree’s beauty was a harbinger of spring, a season that had finally begun to deepen. The reflection of the sky on the river’s surface, combined with the tree’s gentle dance, created an ethereal scene that seemed to blur the lines between heaven and earth.

Eunseo’s thoughts drifted to the concept of names. What did a name truly represent? Minjun’s name, his past, his present – all of it was a story, but she had only heard fragments of it. The mystery surrounding his name lingered in her mind like an unanswered question.

Minjun didn’t turn back to face her. He continued to stare out the window, his voice low as he spoke, as if explaining the meaning behind his name. However, Eunseo couldn’t bring herself to believe him. His name seemed to belong to someone else, not him.

“Minjun, who are you?” Eunseo asked, her voice trembling. She longed to gaze into his eyes, to read his thoughts and understand the truth behind his name. But Minjun didn’t turn to face her, his attention still fixed on the window.

“I… I am a potter,” Minjun said, his voice barely above a whisper. His words didn’t provide the answers Eunseo sought. She wanted to understand the significance of his name, but it seemed too simple, too ordinary.

Eunseo tried to comprehend the meaning behind Minjun’s name by learning more about his past. Perhaps, she thought, his past would reveal the secrets hidden behind his name. But the more she asked, the more elusive the truth seemed.

“What about your past?” Eunseo asked, her voice laced with caution. She knew that his past might not yield any information, but she had to try. Minjun’s response, however, only added to the mystery.

“My past… is something I’ve created here,” Minjun said, his voice still low. Eunseo’s questions remained unanswered, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that his past held the key to understanding his name.

As the conversation continued, Eunseo found herself entangled in a web of questions and doubts. Minjun’s name, his past, his present – everything seemed shrouded in mystery. The more she learned, the more she realized how little she truly knew.

“What about your present?” Eunseo asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Minjun’s response was identical to his previous one, leaving Eunseo with more questions than answers.

“My present… is something I’ve created here,” Minjun said, his voice a gentle echo of his previous response. Eunseo’s frustration grew as she struggled to grasp the meaning behind Minjun’s words.

As the conversation drew to a close, Eunseo couldn’t help but feel that she was no closer to understanding the truth behind Minjun’s name. The mystery surrounding him only deepened, leaving her with a sense of longing and curiosity.

Eunseo’s thoughts lingered on Minjun’s name, a constant reminder of the enigma that surrounded him. She couldn’t help but wonder what secrets lay hidden behind his simple, ordinary name. The more she learned, the more she realized that the truth was far more complex, far more mysterious than she could have ever imagined.
